Process of My Lessons for Chinese

In Chinese, it is obviously different from English. We have to learn how to write a proper composition with the things taught to us, like the introduction, the happenings, the climax and the ending, together with discussions and/or your feelings and opinions about the characters in the story. We also have to learn the spelling words whereby our teacher will tell us when there is spelling. What is really good is that we are required to find the meanings of the spelling words.

We also have some competition on cloze passages and how to fit the words into the correct sentences. Last few weeks, we also had a test on the book that we read which is titled '7-ELEVEN 旺想曲' and this book is very special too as it is like the English book; interesting, but this time is only stories. Interesting is the word to use for this book because it gives stories which are very rare in other story books and the ending is what you did never expected.

In Chinese, we also have some worksheets and of course, workbook to do. This workbook will help us to revive and recall the words that we had learnt from the stories and use it in our spelling, and sometimes our composition. Recalling the words are also important as we cannot just let the word go off once and after we had learnt which will be a waste to our time for learning them. Learning new words is just like learning new things and gathering information in the Internet, you have to process them and also understand them in this case first before using them.

Process of My Lessons for English

For English, I have been learning about effective communication, about what we should do when we are engage in a conversation, like listening attentively. I had also learnt about what we should do when we wan to interrupt into a conversation, like clearing our throats. The other things which I had gathered from the lessons are constructive comments, what we should not say and talk about in the a conversation, the volume or rather the pitch of the voice we need when we talk to someone from a particular distance.

From the last few questions, instead of just learning on effective communication, I had learnt about the audience identification chart, a chart which may be useful to us when we are speaking to a certain number of audience. This audience identification chart will help us to identify the age group of our audience, the content of our speech, the speech genres and many more. Yesterday, I had just learnt about speech genres in the English lessons. Speech Genres may include persuasion, expression, entertainment and inform.

More on English are the Extensive Reading for the Sec 2s only. I had been asked to read 4 chapters of a book named or titled 'Chicken Soup for Teenage Soul' and this has helped me enhanced my knowledge on teenagers, the problems they face, the things they do due to these problems, the solutions to them, which is also how they will approach these problems. I had also been given some questions to answer on the poems in these chapters and also a blog question too, which will be marked.
